"Back to School" Becomes Hong Kong Management Game Champion

A team made up of two, code-named "Back to School", emerged as the Champion of the 48th Hong Kong Management Game on 1 September 2018.

The Management Game is an exercise making use of the computer program SIMBUSI to simulate a fiercely competitive, yet risk-free business environment. In the Hong Kong Final, each of the five teams managed a company with the aim to outperforming all other competitors and earning the highest accumulated profit.

After six rounds of competition, "Back to School" reaped the highest profit and won the honour of Hong Kong Champion. The team "KTMC" which was formed by a group of friends became the first runner-up, and the team from HK Sonavox Int`l Co. Ltd., came third.

The winning team was awarded two round-trip air tickets to Tokyo and a cash prize of HK$10,000, while the first runner-up team received a cash prize of HK$6,000, and the second runner-up a cash prize of HK$4,000.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony taking place right after the competition was officiated by Mr Giovanni Angelini, Council Member of The Hong Kong Management Association; Mr Garmen Chan, Public Affairs Associate Director of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, Ms Agnes Hui, Corporate Communications Senior Manager of the same company; Mr Tong Chow, Head of PEH Regulatory Affairs of Pfizer Corporation Hong Kong Limited and Mr Russell Morris, SIMBUSI Game Designer.

Organised by The Hong Kong Management Association, the Game was sponsored by A. S. Watson Group, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, Crown Worldwide Holdings Limited, Pfizer Corporation Hong Kong Limited, Shun Hing Group and The Wharf (Holdings) Limited.
