The Professional Manager (PMgr) Scheme is established as a benchmark which will permit business to look at the holders of this designation with reasonable confidence as to their management ability and professionalism. The route to Professional Manager is characterized by lifelong learning and development.

For new applicants who are unable to meet the CPD requirements, they may complete any one of the following workshops organized by the Association:

Successful applicants may use the designatory letters "PMgr" for a period of 2 years from the date of award. List of Professional Managers will be posted on the website of the Association.
D. Renewing the Professional Manager StatusTo retain the title and designatory letters of Professional Manager (PMgr), executives must satisfy the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement of 40 hours every two years. They must update their CPD submission bi-annually by completing a CPD Declaration Form on or before the renewal deadlines as follows:
1 June; or
1 December

All subscriptions would be due on the 1 st day of January in each year. For Professional Manager approved after 30th June of the year, he or she will pay only one half of the annual subscription for such year.
Application and annual subscription fees are subject to review on an annual basis.

The Professional Manager status will be suspended under the following situations:
If the status is lapsed for more than one year, a notice will be sent to these former Professional Managers that their status has been terminated. They will need to submit a new application should they want to reinstate their status in future.
I. WithdrawalA Professional Manager may withdraw the status by submitting a written request to the Membership Department of the Association.
However, the Professional Manager is not entitled to the return of any subscription being paid to the Association.
