Manulife / HKMA DMC Digital Marketing Summit 29/3/2019
The Manulife / HKMA DMC Digital Marketing Summit was successfully held on 29 March 2019 at the HKMA Management Development Centre with over 100 participants. The Conference brought together prominent business leaders who shared with participants their invaluable insight on digital marketing. Mr Esmond Mok, Chairman of the HKMA Digital Marketing Community, mentioned in his Welcoming Address, that the HKMA established the Digital Marketing Community in March 2017 to gather a powerful network of digital marketing enthusiasts to bring in state-of-the-art expertise and insights on global trends for Hong Kong marketers through different exciting events. In the past two years, the DMC had organized over 20 well-received activities attended by over 1,100 executives. He also announced that the DMC has come up with an upcoming series of ingenious and engaging activities. Soon later this year, DMC will launch a series of #MarTech events that would cover the Marketing crosses Technology topics, including: Visual Analytics, Customer Experience, Cloud Retail, Application Programming Interface (API), AR / VR and A.I., etc Mr Zhang Fupeng, Vice President of Wireless Marketing at Huawei, delivered an Opening Keynote Speech on Huaweis involvement in ICT services, its vision on the future development of 5G and its application to all parts of our daily life, as well as how it can add value to various industries. The key note speech was well-received and followed by a case sharing session during which the success stories behind Luckin Coffee and Klook, both billion-dollar start-ups today, delivered by Prof Viveca Chan, Chairman& CEO of WE Marketing and Ms Anita Ngai, Chief Revenue Officer of Klook, respectively. Ms Isabella Lau, Chief Customer Officer, Manulife (International) Limited (Session Moderator) Mr Dean Samuels, Head of Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services, shared on how Amazon Web Services helps improve customer experience and the role of machine learning in analyzing customer behavior to help marketers design successful campaigns and achieve better sales using these data in his Closing Keynote Speech. In the Closing Address, Mr Esmond Mok believed the discussions at the Summit have been extremely inspiring as the speakers have covered many critically important current and future trends, as well as offering unique insights to participants on how to stay ahead of the game in the era of digital marketing.
