-- The BA(Hons) and MBA Programmes offered by Glyndŵr University

To provide students and executives with more choices in further education, the Hong Kong Management Association has long been actively cooperating with prestigious overseas universities in launching degree programmes that fit market needs. The BA (Hons) programmes and MBA programmes jointly organized by the Association and Glyndŵr University is its latest effort.

Glyndŵr University was founded in 1887, as a member of the University of Wales, the University has rapidly developed into one of the major universities in North Wales that provides comprehensive education consists of 11 academic departments and more than 150 programmes. The University has been awarded HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission for its strong research ability. It also carries out the double marking and the external examiner monitoring systems for the purpose of upholding the student learning quality assurance.

BA (Hons) programmes
The BA (Hons) programmes offered by Glyndŵr University are in 3 different areas: Business Management, Business Marketing and Business Accounting. Each programme comprises 3 years of study, with a total of 360 credits. The BA programmes are offered in face-to-face mode by local faculty that comprises senior management executives and professionals who are experienced in university teaching. Most of the modules are assessed by written assignments. Examination is only required in a few modules.

MBA programmes
This MBA programme offers five study pathways for students to select from, they include: General, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Accounting and Finance and International Business. In a part-time face-to-face learning mode, the programme comprises two stages of study with a total of 6 taught modules and a dissertation that can be completed in 18 months.

The programme of study covers both the domestic and global business as needed to operate at higher management levels and composes of contextualised local elements. Programme is taught by the University approved experienced lecturers who have extensive teaching and practical experiences and posses doctoral or master degrees.

Aiming at providing students with broader understanding and sophisticated skills required in a cross-functional business environment, the programme is particularly suitable for professionals who aspire to senior management and leadership positions.

Chinese and English Classes with Different Entry Points
For both BA (Hons) programmes and MBA programmes, student could choose to take either English-delivered class or Chinese-delivered class to fit their own needs. In addition, the programmes adopt flexible entry points policy for students with different education qualifications. For example, HKMA DMS/DBM graduates or Associate Degree/Higher Diploma holders in related disciplines or equivalent could be admitted to Year Two of the BA (Hons) programmes.

International Recognition
For both BA (Hons) programmes and MBA programmes, the award will be given by Glyndŵr University, which carries equivalent academic status to the same qualification conferred by the University in the UK.
