MGSM MBA Programme Ranked Top 70 in the World

10/2/2014

MGSM has an international reputation for excellence in management education and is consistently ranked in the top tier of business school worldwide. Its MBA program has again been listed as one of the top 100 in the world, ranking at #61. This is 12 places up from 2012`s ranking of #73. Most notably, The Economist ranking places MGSM`s MBA program as #2 globally for both `student quality` and `post MBA salary`. The school has also ranked as #1 in New South Wales, #4 in Australia and #6 in the Asia-Pacific region. (by 2012 The Economist "Which MBA?")

Professor Guy Ford, Deputy Dean of MGSM, said: "This outstanding result is evidence of the remarkable and hard-working students MGSM attracts, our outstanding faculty who embody the School`s mission and vision in all they do, the school`s commitment to change and innovation and the dedication of our professional staff. I am proud to be part of the school`s leadership team as we consolidate our position as one of the world`s leading schools of management."

MGSM has launched its Master degree programmes in Hong Kong in partnership with the Hong Kong Management Association since 1994, this is much longer than most other programmes.

World Class Faculty
The MGSM MBA transforms managers and professionals to leaders with a global mindset who create sustainable prosperity and are good citizens. Featured from a strategic business perspective, the programme addresses real-world impacts and effective approaches to meet business challenges in any industry around the world. Programmes are taught via block method, on 2 consecutive weekends over 2-3 days and evenings to attain the 40-hour face-to-face teaching required for each subject. Programmes are taught by MGSM faculty who fly to Hong Kong regularly.

Flexible Programme to Meet Tailor-made Needs
MGSM`s flexible entry policy enables students to enter the programme at different levels and at different points in time. Students can complete the MBA part-time in Hong Kong - typically two to three years. They can also choose to pause their study as their lifestyle or career dictates. Students can commence their study program in January and June each year.

The Postgraduate Certificate which consists of 3-credit course units is a starting point for students gradually entering into a study route. Following the unique progression path, students can attain the Postgraduate Diploma with a total of 6 credit units and the Master of Management degree with a total of 10 units. Earning the MBA qualification requires a further 6 units for a total of 16 units. More students are opting to do the full MBA as it opens more doors for them professionally.
