Dr Dennis Sun was Elected Chairman of The Hong Kong Management Association

The Hong Kong Management Association held its 51st Annual General meeting (AGM) on Monday, 25 June 2012 at its Headquarters. Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP, Chairman of the Association, reported that during the past year, the Association has launched a number of new programmes which addressed the changing needs of members and of the economy. "Change is all around us. It is our duty to prepare our members and the many executives and students that rely on our services to adapt to and take advantage of change," said Dr Li.
During the meeting, Dr Li announced that he would step down as a Chairman. Dr Li expressed his sincere thanks to members of the Council, the Executive Committee and various Committees for their generous assistance and wise counsel. "It has been a great privilege to serve as your Chairman and to work with all of you to further the goals of our Association," said Dr Li.
At the Annual General Meeting, nine Council members were elected or re-elected. They are:

At the Council Meeting held immediately after the Annual General Meeting, Dr Dennis Sun BBS JP, Chairman & Managing Director of China-hongkong Photo Products Holdings Ltd and Chairman of Fuji Photo Products Co Ltd was elected Chairman. Mr Alfred W K Chan BBS, Managing Director, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited was re-elected Deputy Chairman. Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP was admitted as Honorary President of the Association.
Dr Dennis Sun has over 35 years of experience in photographic products and is well respected in the industry. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Photo Marketing Association, and also the Life Honorary Advisor of the Photographic Society of Hong Kong. The imaging industry is undergoing its most revolutionary changes and under Dr Sun`s visionary leadership, his company has emerged as a leader in the new technology.
Dr Sun has a distinguished record of public and community service. To name but a few, he is a Member of the Tenth Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference of Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Executive Member of the Tenth All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, and Vice Patron of the Community Chest of Hong Kong.
Previously as Deputy Chairman of the Association, Dr Sun has served with distinction as President of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO) between 2007 and 2010, forging closer ties among AAMO members throughout the region. Dr Sun is also Chairman of the Diploma in Management Studies and Diploma in Business Management Advisory Committee and an Executive Committee Member of the The Hong Kong Management Association School Limited.
The Farewell Dinner for Dr The Hon David K P Li was held the same evening at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong. Over 120 business leaders, Fellows, Council and Members of the Association attended the event and expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Dr Li for his 29 years of distinguished contribution to the Association.
