APPOINTMENT OF NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
THE HONG KONG MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) is pleased to announce that Dr Victor S K Lee (李仕權博士) has been appointed as its Executive Director with immediate effect (18 January 2012). Dr Lee succeeded Dr Elizabeth S C Shing BBS JP, former Director General of the Association.

Dr Lee has over 25 years of experience in the education sector with the last 20 years in Hong Kong. Prior to the appointment, Dr Lee has been the Director of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUSCS) since 1999 leading a team of 220 full time staff and over 800 part time instructors. Before joining the CUSCS, Dr Lee was Founding Head of Department of Applied Computing; Founding Master of Business Administration Programme Director/Head of Department of Management of The Open University of Hong Kong from 1991 to 1999. Dr Lee is experienced in collaboration with overseas institutions and has extensive networks in China. Dr Lee also worked for Bank of America as Senior Technical Training Specialist from 1989 to 1991.

Dr Lee has substantial teaching experience in overseas tertiary institutions including The American University of Paris, France; State University of New York, USA; and University of East Asia, Macau.

Dr Lee has been the Visiting Professor, MBA Programme of Beijing Normal University, China since 2009 and a member of the Manpower Development Committee of the HKSAR since 2007. He was Chairman of The Federation for Continuing Education in Tertiary Institutions from 2007 to 2009.

Dr Lee holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management Systems from University of London, UK; an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, UK; as well as a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Computer Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA.
