The Graduation Ceremony of University of Wales, UK was successfully held on Sunday, 11 December 2011 at Chiang Chen Studio Theatre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
At the graduation ceremony, 30 graduates of the Master of Business Administration, 59 graduates of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management programme and 3 Best Student Awards were presented by Mr Stephen Griffiths, Assistant Dean, Faculty of Swansea Business School, Swansea Metropolitan University and Dr Michael Chan, Executive Chairman of Café de Coral Holdings Ltd and Executive Committee and Council Member of the Hong Kong Management Association.
Conferment of The First Badge of Graduates |
Jointly organized by the University of Wales and the Hong Kong Management Association since 2009, the first badge of graduates of Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management programmes was conferred. During the ceremony, Dr Tony Wo, Assistant Director of The Hong Kong Management Association said "the Association takes pride in cooperating with the University of Wales to cultivate successful executives who are capable to develop and outperform in today`s dynamic and rapidly-changing business environment." |

Founded by Royal Charter in 1893, the University of Wales is the second largest degree-awarding body in the United Kingdom. It comprises five eminent member institutions including Swansea Metropolitan University; Glyndwr University; University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC); University of Wales, Newport; and University of Wales, Trinity St David. The teaching quality and facilities of the affiliated institutions overseas have to go through rigorous reviews and quality assurance procedures and meet the standard of the University and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education of the UK. The degree awarded by the University is equivalent to the standard and qualification of the home courses offered in Wales.

The programme offered in Hong Kong is in part-time face-to-face learning mode. It comprises 2 stages of study which is expected to be completed in 24 months. Students have to take 8 courses plus a Research Workshop and a dissertation (approximately 20,000 words) to complete the Degree. |

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Programmes |
The BA (Hons) programmes offered in Hong Kong are in 3 areas including Business Management, Tourism Management and Leisure Management. Each BA(Hons) programme comprises 3 years of study, with a total of 360 credits. The programme is offered in a part-time face-to-face mode and is assessed by written assignments and examinations. |
