University of Wales MBA Programme

26/11/2011

Competition is very keen in business societies like Hong Kong. In modern societies with great stress on academic qualifications, it is hard to excel and scale up the career ladder with only just one degree certificate no matter how experienced or hard-working you are.

Learning in Chinese and Invest in China
Having seen that most MBA programmes are taught only in English which deprived the chances of further education for those with comparatively less skilful English, HKMA has co-organized with the University of Wales and offer MBA programme in Hong Kong. In order to facilitate students` learning, the programme will be conducted in English and Chinese respectively. The programme is also tailored for corporations and professional organizations to meet the needs of their staff in continuing education, which in turn enhances the management competence of these organizations` workforce. It prepares participants with new perspectives in strategic thinking and an appreciation of the competitive global business world.

HKMA Senior Marketing Manager Mr. Glover Chan emphasizes that it is more flexible to teach and discuss in Chinese where practical needs are fulfilled. Students find the business knowledge to be very applicable to their work in China. Besides, the course structure is very flexible and facilitates the students to better allocate their time and balance both work and studies.

Quality Education as Major Factor

Quality Education is what students concern the most. Some may question the quality consistence of both English and Chinese courses. Mr Glover Chan points out that the teaching quality and facilities of the affiliated institutions overseas have to go through rigorous reviews and quality assurance procedures and meet the standard of the University and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education of the UK. The degree awarded by the University, no matter using English or Chinese as the medium of instruction, is equivalent to the standard and qualification of the home courses offered in Wales.

Introduction of University of Wales
Founded by Royal Charter in 1893, the University of Wales is the second largest degree-awarding body in the United Kingdom. According to the Times Good University Guide 2009, University of Wales rank top in students` satisfaction level towards university. The United Kingdom Government`s high education inspectorate, the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), has also acknowledged the excellence of its validation work.
