2011 ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON
"HONG KONG MAINLAND: SYNERGY & OPPORTUNITIES"

The 2011 HKMA Annual Conference was successfully held on 22 November 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and attracted over 300 senior executives. The Conference brought together prominent business leaders who shared with participants their invaluable insight under the theme of "Hong Kong Mainland: Synergy and Opportunities".
Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP, Chairman of the Association in his Opening Address pointed out that the global economy was facing strong headwinds, with the debt crisis in Europe, stubbornly high unemployment in the United States, and a looming slowdown in China. "Nowhere was safe, in our global village. Times such as this call for new thinking, and new directions." Dr Li said.
In the Closing Address, Dr Kelvin T Y Wong, Chairman, Conference Organizing Committee; and Executive Director and Deputy Managing Director believed the Conference has been extremely insightful as the speakers have addressed the most important subjects that allow participants to grasp some of the key issues and ideas about building synergy and grasping opportunities in the increasingly integrated relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
