MGSM MBA PROGRAMME RANKED TOP 100 IN THE WORLD
16/11/2011
MGSM has an international reputation for excellence in management education and is consistently ranked in the top tier of business school worldwide. Its MBA has been ranked the #1 in New South Wales, # 7 in the Asia-Pacific region and # 73 in the world. "Student Quality" has been ranked #5 in the world as well. (by 2011 The Economist "Which MBA?")
Professor Robert Widing, Dean of MGSM, sees this outcome as "a positive reflection on the School as it emerges from a period of change and challenge. We have good reason to be proud of our students, alumni, faculty, staff, board of directors and university, all of whom are dedicated to improving the quality, standing and impact of MGSM. We understand, nevertheless, that we still have much work to do as we strive to consolidate our position as one of the world`s leading schools of management."
MGSM has launched its Master degree programmes in Hong Kong in partnership with the Hong Kong Management Association since 1994, this is much longer than most other programmes.
Global Vision |
The MGSM MBA transforms managers and professionals to leaders with a global mindset who create sustainable prosperity and are good citizens. Featured from a strategic business perspective, the programme addresses real-world impacts and effective approaches to meet business challenges in any industry around the world. A new unit "Managing with a Global Mindset" which has pioneered in Hong Kong and then delivered in Sydney is introduced this year. Next year, a joint unit will be launched for students from both Hong Kong and Sydney to study and work together in Asia-Pacific strategies. MGSM believes this new unit helps students to further globalize their learning experience and create life-long relationships. |

World Class Faculty
|
Programmes are taught via the block method, on 2 consecutive weekends over 2-3 days and evenings to attain the 40-hour face-to-face teaching required for each subject. The high quality faculty focuses on practical excellence in developing leaders-managers. The core MGSM faculty teaches across all programmes including Hong Kong, Sydney and soon to be introduced web delivered units. |
Flexible Programme to achieve Multiple Qualifications |
MGSM`s flexible entry policy enables students to enter the programme at different levels and at different points in time. The Postgraduate Certificate which consists of 3-credit course units is a starting point for students gradually entering into a study route. Following the unique progression path, students can attain the Postgraduate Diploma with a total of 6 credit units and the Master of Management degree with a total of 10 units. Earning the MBA qualification requires a further 6 units for a total of 16 units. More students are opting to do the full MBA as it opens more doors for them professionally. |
