SPEAKS AT THE HKMA 51ST ANNUAL FELLOWSHIP DINNER
16 OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES ARE RECOGNIZED

The Hon Henry Tang Ying-yen GBM GBS JP delivered a thought-provoking speech on "Leadership Management" to over 880 members and guests of the Hong Kong Management Association at its 51st Annual Fellowship Dinner on Tuesday, 15th November 2011.

Fellow and Charter Membership
In the occasion, 16 new Fellows and Charter Members were presented. Fellows are individuals who have distinguished themselves in the management field either by example or by contributing towards the general body of theory, philosophy and management practice. The 6 new Fellows this year are:

Management Development Credit Unit (MDCU) Award

To recognize the achievement of companies in staff training and human resources development, six companies were awarded the Management Development Credit Unit (MDCU) Awards. For private sector, City Telecom (HK) Ltd and Neway Karaoke Box are awarded the MDCU "Largest Sponsor of Training Hours Award" and "Largest Sponsor of Staff Members Award" respectively. Synergis Management Services Limited is awarded "Most Significant Growth Award".

For public sector, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital and Office of the Government Chief Information Officer are awarded the MDCU "Largest Sponsor of Training Hours Award" and "Largest Sponsor of Staff Members Award" respectively. And Evangel Hospital is awarded the "Most Significant Growth Award".

Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) Graduation Ceremony
The Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) Graduation Ceremony was also held at the dinner. This year, more than 400 students successfully completed and graduated from the programme. Established by the Hong Kong Management Association in 1975 and jointly organized with Lingnan University since 1998, the DMS programme aims to meet the needs of in-service managers and executives who seek a formal education in modern business management. Over 14,000 students have been graduated from the programme. The Diploma is widely recognized by overseas universities and graduates are also granted membership or exemptions by a number of prominent professional institutes.
