Dr Stephen S Roach, Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia Limited delivered a speech on "Pitfalls in a Post Crisis World: Implications for China and Hong Kong" to over 500 guests on Tuesday, 27 October 2009 at the 24th Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture and Dinner organized by the Association.
During the Dinner, Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP, Chairman of the Association mentioned that the Theme Year addresses some important issues that are highly relevant nowadays such as changing economic environment, competitiveness and sustainable development of Hong Kong. In addition,
Mr Alkin Kwong, Chairman of the Theme Year Working Party 2009 highlighted some major activities organized by the Working Party throughout the year.
The Presentation Ceremony of the Award for Excellence in Training 2009 was also held during the Memorial Lecture and Dinner. Winners of Campaign and Individual Awards were presented with trophies and certificates by Dr Stephen S Roach and Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP.

Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture
Organized by the Association`s Theme Year Working Party since 1985, the Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture and Dinner is one of the highlights of the Association`s whole year activities aiming to recognize the contribution of the late Mrs Susan Yuen to Hong Kong`s business community. This special event will raise funds for the Susan Yuen Fellowship and Research Foundation to provide scholarships for in-service executives to attend short and practical courses.
