KTMCboys Becomes Hong Kong Game Champion

A team code-named KTMCboys emerged as the Champion of the Hong Kong Management Game held on Saturday, 11 August 2007 by outperforming five other finalist teams.
The Management Game is a simulation exercise making use of the computer program SIMBUSI to simulate a competitive business environment.
In the Hong Kong Final, each of the six teams managed a confectionery company selling chocolate products in different markets: its own store, supermarkets and an export market. Their business objective was to outperform all other competitors and return the highest profit.
At the end of the six periods, KTMCboys reaped a total of $9.5 million profit and won the honour of Hong Kong champion. The team code-named "TSBC" became the first runner-up, and the team code-named HACTL came third.
The champion team led by Mr Eric Chan was awarded a cash prize of HK$25,000, four airtickets to New Delhi sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd and the SCMP Morning Post Perpetual Trophy sponsored by the South China Morning Post.
The first runner-up, led by Mr Tony Wong received a cash prize of HK$10,000. The second runner-up, led by Mr Lawrence Cheung, was awarded a cash prize of HK$5,000.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony was held immediately after the competition. It was officiated by Mr Kevin Ng, Chief Learning Officer, Greater China, Sun Microsystems of California Limited; Ms Lucia Yip, Employee Learning Service Manager, Sun Microsystems of California Limited; Ms Grace Fung, Director, Classified Advertising, South China Morning Post Publishers Ltd; and Dr Tony Wo, Assistant Director, The Hong Kong Management Association.
The Hong Kong Champion team will represent Hong Kong to compete in the Regional Final against winners from India, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore. Each area takes turn to play host to the Regional Final and this year it will be held in India in September.
Organized by The Hong Kong Management Association, the Game is sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, Sun Microsystems of California Limited, the South China Morning Post, Classified Post as well as Jiu Jik.
