Organized by The Hong Kong Management Association, the
results of the Award for Excellence in Training 2004 were announced on
15 June 2004 during the luncheon following the Half-Day Seminar on "Benchmark
Your Training Practices with Some of the Excellent Companies".

In addition, Ms Suzanna Ting, Assistant Housing Manager, Hong Kong Housing
Authority, has been awarded the Best Presentation Award. The Award recipient
was selected by all the participants of the seminar. The winner of the Recruit
Most Innovative Award this year is MTR Corporation Ltd.
Presentation Ceremony of the Award will be held in October at the Nineteenth
Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture.
The Award for Excellence in Training was introduced by The Hong Kong
Management Association in 1990 with the aim of giving public recognition
to trainers and companies for the contribution that training can make
to corporate results.
The judging process is simple but comprehensive. All the participating
companies are required to give a simple verbal presentation of their training
content to the Board of Examiners at a Shortlisting Interview. Shortlisted
entries will be invited to submit a five-page summary of their training
programmes. The best six entries will be selected for the final presentation
seminar entitled "Benchmark Your Training Practices with Some of
the Excellent Companies". The six finalists will deliver a presentation
before the Panel of Adjudicators who will then decide the winners of the
Award.
