HKMA Grants Scholarships to 12 Exectives to Help Realize Their Lifelong Learning Goals 19/12/2002
To cultivate the spirit of lifelong learning, The Hong Kong Management Association sets up the HKMA Annual Scholarship Scheme. Each year, 12 executives will be fully subsidized by the Association to study any Diploma or Professional Diploma programmes of their choice offered by the Association. The value of the Annual Scholarship is worth around HK$300,000.
The response to the Scholarship Scheme has been very encouraging. A total of 210 applications were received with write-ups of very high quality. (The write-up topic is: In a downturn economy, how important is Continuous Learning or Life-long Learning ?) It indeed reflects the determination and dedication of many Hong Kong people to further improve themselves and to meet the challenges ahead through continuing education. The Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held on Thursday, 19 December 2002 at the headquarters of the Association. All the scholarships were presented by Mr Albert Ma, Chairman & Managing Director of Hong Kong LP Gas (Holdings) Ltd and Council Member of the Association; Mr Irving Koo SBS JP, Group Marketing & Corporate Relations Director of CLP Holdings Limited and Council Member of the Association; and Mr C K Lau, Chairman of Panda-Recruit Ltd. The 12 awardees of the HKMA Annual Scholarship Scheme and their fully subsidized programmes are as follows:
