Six Outstanding Campaigns Shortlisted for Final Round of the Marketing Award 15/7/2002
Six outstanding marketing campaigns have been selected for the final judging of the HKMA/TVB Award for Marketing Excellence 2002. They are:
1. “See You at Cafe de Coral” Cafe de Coral Fast Food Ltd 2. “Cathay Pacific The World’s Biggest Welcome” Cathay Pacific Airways 3. “Hang Seng Femina Banking – Lead a Fabulous Life” Hang Seng Bank Ltd 4. “‘M. I. Kid’ Account - Develop your Children’s Potentials for Great Achievements” Hang Seng Bank Ltd 5. “An Exceptional Community for An Exceptional Childhood - Discovery Bay Siena One Marketing Campaign)” Hong Kong Resort Co Ltd 6. “The Making of ‘RoadShow’” RoadShow Holdings Ltd The six finalists will present their marketing campaigns to a Panel of Judges during the Final Judging which will be held on Saturday, 7 September 2002 at the headquarter of the Association. The judges will then decide the Gold, Silver and Bronze Prize winners as well as the three Certificate of Merit recipients. These six winners as well as the recipients of the three Citations will be officially announced at a Prize Presentation Luncheon to be held in late October. An important part of this Luncheon will be a speech by Mr Vincent Lo GBS JP, Chairman and Chief Executive, Shui On Group, who will deliver a presentation on "Hong Kong Marketing Experience Can Win in the Mainland - The Story of Shanghai Xintiandi" This year the Award has attracted 54 quality entries from a wide spectrum of industries such as airlines, banking, entertainment, food & beverage, government departments, manufacturing, media, property development, public utilities, retail, voluntary bodies and so forth. All the participating companies are required to submit a five-page write-up summarizing the objectives, strategies and results of their marketing programmes. A Board of Examiners combining the Marketing Management Committee and the Marketing Awards Organizing Committee will then shortlist the six most outstanding campaigns for final presentation. The judging will be based on a number of criteria including well-defined objectives, effective use of market research, development of the product/service to meet market needs, integrated and well-organized communications programmes, effective distribution channels, originality, efficient administration and finally achievement of the planned results. Organized by The Hong Kong Management Association since 1985, this prestigious Marketing Award aims to give recognition to outstanding marketers in Hong Kong and their campaigns as a means to upgrade the standards of marketing profession. The Award has been sponsored by Television Broadcasts Ltd since 1989.
