¡§2015/16 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme Experience Sharing Sessions¡¨

To foster a culture of loving families in the community, the Family Council and the Home Affairs Bureau firstly launched the Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme (the Award Scheme) in 2011. The objectives were: |

to raise awareness of the employers of the importance of family core values, and to foster a pro-family culture and environment. |
• |
to give recognition to employers that demonstrate a family-friendly spirit and encourage them to implement family-friendly employment policies and practices. |

The Family Council, with the support of Home Affairs Bureau, organized the Award Scheme third time in 2015/16. The Award Scheme received overwhelming support with 2,739 applications coming from different sectors. The Assessment Panel, comprising representatives and experts from various sectors, selected the ¡§Distinguished Family-Friendly Employers¡¨, the winning companies of the ¡§Award for Innovation¡¨ and the ¡§Family-Friendly Employers¡¨. ¡§Special Mentions (Gold)" were given to the winning companies/ organisations which were also awarded in 2013/14 and 2011 and ¡§Special Mentions¡¨ were offered to those which were awarded either in 2011 or 2013/14 in recognition of their dedication to continuously promoting family-friendly policies and practices. |
The Family Council will organise five ¡§experience sharing sessions¡¨ and invite representatives from winning companies/ organisations of ¡§Distinguished Family-Friendly Employers¡¨ and ¡§Awards for Innovation¡¨ to share their invaluable experiences in the implementation of family-friendly employment policies and practices and the benefits to both the companies and staff. |
